Presenting all Dutch presentations at the Milan Design Week 2012
Deadline Friday 10 February 2012!
Connecting the Dots magazine lists all Dutch presentations that are present during the Milan Design Week 2012, consisting of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile and the FuoriSalone. The design week is held from Tuesday 17 till Sunday 22 April 2012. All Dutch design studios and companies exhibiting in Milan can present themselves, free of charge and under their own name, in this magazine on Dutch design.
Besides a description of the Dutch presentations, Connecting the Dots contains several maps indicating the locations of the Dutch exhibitions. Connecting the Dots also serves as a guidebook and includes several articles and interviews on design in the Netherlands and elsewhere. The magazine pays considerable attention to sustainable design from the Netherlands. Furthermore, several columns will be included.
Connecting the Dots will be distributed in Milan during the Milan Design Week. And pre-distributed to key-figures in the international design field a week before the event. Total 10.000 copies.
The fourth edition
The first edition of Connecting the Dots was launched during the Milan Design Week in 2010. The impact was big as it was the first serious attempt to map all Dutch presentations in Milan and to give insight to the design culture in the Netherlands. Its success leaded to a second issue last year during the Salone of 2011. A third edition was made for the London Design Festival in September 2011. These first three Connecting the Dots were commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. The fourth edition will be made independently; the magazine has showed its value to the industry.
